President's Message

Dear Colleagues:john_p._keenan_ph.d_-302kb

Welcome to the ILGE Website!

During these times of tremendous upheaval and changes all around us, I suggest it is time we stop and carefully look at where we are now….and where we are headed with respect to the important areas of ethics, values, responsibilities, and rights in today’s workplace.

Are you like me, feeling increasing disappointment in the default of leaders in holding up to the highest principles with respect to ensuring that today’s workplace is characterized by the highest standards in these areas?

The Council on Employee Responsibilities and Rights (CERR) has stood for replacing the moral vacuum with a more enlightened and vigorous approach for change for over 33 years now. CERR presents educational and other initiatives focused on bringing improvements to the workplace in diverse businesses, governmental bodies, educational institutions, and diverse organizations at the global level. We invite you to join us.

Pleases consider attending our “17th Annual AEPP International Conference”, Sept 23-25, 2009 in Montreal, Quebec. Scholars and practitioners from diverse corners of the world will be sharing their best thinking, research, best practices, and new approaches to a wide-range of subjects related to ethical, and value-driven dimensions of workplace issues including: employee and employer responsibilities and rights, employment practices and principles in times of economic uncertainty, maintaining an ethical and socially responsible workplace, leadership, strategic management, human resource management and development, corporate social responsibility, and many others. For more details, please see our other website at www.aepp.net.

If you are unable to attend, we welcome you sign up as a member of our “Association on Employment Practices and Principles (AEPP)” and freely access our full website with its many resources that might interest you. Also, consider subscribing to our new Journal – The International Journal for Employment Practices and Principles (IJREPP), which continues in the tradition of our 21 years in creating and providing the premiere Journal in this field.

Lastly, as a not-for-profit organization, we welcome your donations to help us to continue to provide educational and other initiatives focused on bringing improvements to diverse workplaces in all corners of the world.

If you have any questions, or if we can be of service to you, please don’t hesitate to contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Warmest regards,

John P. Keenan, Ph.D.
Executive President, CERR
